About Duong Jewelry
Founded in 2012 by sisters Nga Duong and Hoa Duong, Duong Jewelry first opened its flagship boutique within the family -- owned GAM Gemstone Art Museum in Hoi An, Vietnam -- a private museum dedicated to natural gemstones, mineral specimens, and gemstone sculptures collected by the sisters’ father, Mr. Dzung Duong.
A pioneering figure in Vietnam’s gemology scene in the early 1990s, he established the country’s first gem identification laboratory in 1992.
The museum later closed following the pandemic period, while the brand continued expanding with boutiques in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Milan.
In 2019, Duong opened its second flagship boutique in Hanoi, followed by a third in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022.
A new chapter began with the opening of Duong Jewelry’s Milan boutique in 2025, located in the heart of the Brera district -- one of the city’s most vibrant destinations for art, fashion, and design.
Alongside its boutiques in Vietnam, Duong Jewelry has also established a business presence in Houston as part of the brand’s growing international development, with future expansion planned for the United States.
All Duong jewelry is designed by the elder sister, Milan -- based artist Nga Duong, whose creative vision shapes the brand’s identity.
Hoa Duong, who holds a Master of Law from France, joined the brand in 2012 as Sales and Production Manager. She recently relocated to Houston to support the brand’s U.S. expansion.
The designer/ creative director
The creative force behind Duong Jewelry is Milan -- based designer and artist Nga Duong, who grew up in Hanoi surrounded by her father’s extensive gemstone collection.
Nga moved to Italy in 2002 to study jewelry design at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED Milano) after graduating from the Hanoi College of Industrial Arts,.
In 2012, while supporting the family’s Gemstone Art Museum project in Hoi An, she began creating the very first Duong Jewelry pieces using gemstones from her father’s collection.
Today, her work reflects a distinctive dialogue between European and Asian aesthetics -- balancing bold forms, natural textures, femininity, and architectural design.
Each Duong Jewelry piece is handcrafted in the brand’s Hanoi workshop using natural gemstones sourced primarily from Vietnam.
Based in Milan, Nga regularly works between Italy and the brand’s Hanoi workshop, where new collections are developed alongside skilled local artisans.
